Imke Klee was born in Northern Germany in 1979. She lives and work in Berlin and Paris as a Stylist, Photographer and Iconographic Researcher.

I feel her work is about Nature or the natural look of day-to-day life objects. She captures images of unarranged objects or people that are not necessarily posing, or extremely arranged objects selected by colour, size or shape. Imke works with organic fabrics that have a rural, washed and used or lived-in look about them ( whites, creams, browns, pale earthy colours).

I find her work relaxing to look at and I would describe her work with the word “PURE”.

Shaun Samson is a California born British, trained menswear designer who launched his label in 2011. He worked on four collections for Jeremy Scott through his degree at CSM. His AW collection for 2011-12  was exclusively sponsored by Woolrich and showcased in London Fashion Week in February 2011.

I like the way he worked the knitwear with the scottish tartans, and the length of the garments make me feel like it must be extremely comfortable on a cold winter’s night. I like the easy simple lines of the knitwear.

Suno Resort: in 2009, after a family trip to Kenya, Max Osterweis partnered with Erin Beatty to train local Kenyans to pattern cut, stitch and the process of fabrication in an effort to boost the local Kenyan economy. From this came Suno Resort for Max and Erin, and a stable financial situation for the local Kenyans. Suno Resort is a Kenyan based fashion brand that started as a ” One of a Kind ” collection using local resources for production. Now that the brand pleases, the production is expanded to a full fledged collection with all sizes and in greater quantity, still sourced localy.

I really love the vibrant colours of the garments, and the combinations of patterned fabrics. As well as being beautiful, those garments are the proof that fair trade fashion is on its way. Brilliant.

Miu Miu is a high fashion brand from the Prada fashion house, it is, in my opinion, a more classic brand with a safe look about it, but at the same time, probably one of the most wearable brand from the Haute-Couture market.

Herve Leger pioneered the “bandage” dress. Whilst i like the figure hugging fabrics and the sexy decolletes, most of those dresses are the same, appart from the necklines and colours that differs sometimes from one dress to the other. In my opinion, the fabric and technique could be explored further to create more diverse collections.

” it’s a LaCroix darling”

” it’s fabulous”

(Edina+Patsy-Absolutely Fabulous)

Lacroix draws his inspiration from historical dresses and paintings, hence the opulence, rich colours and precise details of his garments.

I am drawn to his work because i absolutely love costumes and theatre, and his collections have a very theatrical impact.

But most importantly, i think i love LaCroix because it is Edina’s favorite ( Absolutely Fabulous)

Sheikha Mozah is the first lady of Qatar, she is a very important political figure for the people of Qatar and especially women. Sheikha Mozah was voted n*4 on the Vanity Fair 2009 International Best-Dressed list. When it comes to State Visits, she can be seen wearing beautiful Haute-Couture pieces, customized to comply with the Islamic clothing requirements. Sheikha Mozah often wears whites, greys, blacks and block colours, diamonds and furs, and always with a turban to cover her hair. SO elegant…
